The Cairns Convention Centre looks forward to welcoming more than 400 delegates to this year’s Office Brands and Office Products Depot NZ Conference and Expo from 22 – 25 September. The theme for this year’s Expo is “Better Together”. The dealer group is Australia’s largest independent business supplies and has almost 200 locations around Australia.
Over one thousand delegates from nearly 60 countries will attend one of the world’s largest international conferences on women in law enforcement, at the Cairns Convention Centre from 17-21 September 2017.
Tickets are now available for the Stress Less Day Lunch being held at the Cairns Convention Centre on Wednesday 11th October 2017. Dr Karl Kruszelnicki is the ‘not to be missed’ guest speaker. In 1981 Dr Karl hosted ‘Great Moments in Science’ on Double J and since then his media career has exploded. He is currently the Julius Sumner Miller Fellow at the University of Sydney.
See one of Australia’s most loved and respected artists, Paul Kelly, live at the Cairns Convention Centre on 7th November 2017. Kelly is touring Australia and New Zealand in celebration of the release of his ARIA #1 debut and 23rd studio album, 'Life Is Fine'.
Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA) hosted their National Summit at the Cairns Convention Centre this week. It is the peak body supporting over 700 church, charitable and community-based not-for-profit organisations that provide accommodation and care services to more than 450,000 older Australians.
In a remarkable choral event for Cairns, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, the Cairns Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir and the Sydney Children’s Choir will be joined by the Cairns Songfest Choir to present Songs of My Country on October 13.
Gordonvale State High School Arts & Hospitality students recently attended a site inspection of the Cairns Convention Centre back of house areas to learn more about the operations and procedures within a large venue, including the Centre’s extensive kitchen areas.
