213 James Cook University students and their families celebrated the end of university life when the Centre hosted their graduation ceremony on 19th December. Those graduating were from the School of Tropical Health and Medicine and we wish them well with their future careers.

The management and staff of the Convention Centre would like to thank our clients, patrons, industry partners and suppliers for their support during 2016, our 20th birthday year. We look forward to working with you again in 2017.Cairns Convention Centre Administration will close on 23rd December and re-open at 8.30am on Monday 3rd January 2017. Suzi Quatro will return to the Cairns Convention Centre in March 2017 for the Leather Forever Encore Tour. The catalyst for her return to touring is new music rather than a rock down memory lane.
