Satchels for Schools Programme

The Cairns Convention Centre team were thrilled to receive some photos of children from Cape York schools who received satchels as part of our programme. Where delegates attending conferences are given the option of leaving their conference bag with us to be sent where they are most needed.

Convention Centre Team Hit the Road

The Cairns Convention Centre’s sales team will hit the road next week with Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef to attend the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME). The team will have face to face meetings with top level Australian, Asia-Pacific and international decision makers looking for their next convention destination.

JCU Graduation

213 James Cook University students and their families celebrated the end of university life when the Centre hosted their graduation ceremony on 19th December. Those graduating were from the School of Tropical Health and Medicine and we wish them well with their future careers.

Season’s Greetings

The management and staff of the Convention Centre would like to thank our clients, patrons, industry partners and suppliers for their support during 2016, our 20th birthday year. We look forward to working with you again in 2017. Cairns Convention Centre Administration will close on 23rd December and re-open at 8.30am on Monday 3rd January 2017. Our client services team will be on duty for the NBL home game scheduled for Thursday 29th December 2016. Warm wishes for a joyful festive season.
