Cairns Welcomes the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Australia Pacific 2025
Cairns Convention Centre is proud to welcome the 2025 CAPA Airline Leader Summit Australia Pacific 2025 to our vibrant, tropical city from 31 July to 1 August.
Renowned as the region’s leading strategic aviation and corporate travel event, the Summit brings together more than 350 aviation and transport leaders, policy makers, and corporate travel executives from across Australasia and beyond. The Cairns Convention Centre is honoured to host this influential gathering and support CAPA’s mission of driving informed discussion and strategic collaboration within the aviation industry.
With the event set to focus on the key trends shaping aviation across Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Asia Pacific, this is a pivotal moment for Cairns – especially as the city continues to strengthen its international connectivity.
Thanks to new 2025 flight routes, including a direct Cairns–Nadi service from Fiji Airways launched in April, it’s now easier than ever for international delegates to access the region. This new link offers seamless one-stop connections to major North American cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Francisco. Combined with Cairns Airport’s existing services to Asia, New Zealand, and beyond, the city is becoming an increasingly strategic location for international events like the CAPA Summit.
Janet Hamilton, General Manager of the Cairns Convention Centre, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Australia Pacific to Cairns for the first time. This prestigious event is a perfect fit for our Centre and our city, especially at a time when aviation connectivity and innovation are top priorities.”
Cairns Airport Chief Executive Officer Richard Barker said: “Our region is poised to become the primary gateway to Northern Australia. Hosting CAPA in Cairns will present invaluable industry and business opportunities as we continue this exciting growth trajectory. We will have rare access to a range of airline executives, right here at home. We will be front and centre as our industry’s top executives discuss and workshop global travel trends.”
Hamilton added “We extend a warm welcome to all CAPA attendees and look forward to a dynamic, insightful Summit”.
