JCU Tropical Health and Medicine Graduation


Hundreds of James Cook University students, from the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine, together with their families will celebrate at the Graduation Ceremony being held on 18th December at the Convention Centre.  Students from the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine will be receiving their degrees.

Armed Forces Train at Cairns Convention Centre


Members from the Australian Army’s  3rd Combat Engineer Regiment recently conducted training exercises at the Convention Centre in preparedness for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.  Major Travis Day acknowledged that entry into such a building provided invaluable training for their search teams and presented the Centre with a plaque in appreciation of its ongoing support.

Northern Australia Investment Forum


Held in November, the Northern Australia Investment Forum, an invitation only event,  attracted 550 delegates including upwards of 100 global investors.  It presented and connected these high-level investors with projects, opportunities and information about investing in Northern Australia.
