Distillatorium Visits Cairns

The Bundaberg Rum Distillatorium had its first event opening on the Cairns Convention Centre Outdoor Plaza during a recent corporate conference.

The $2.1million mobile museum displays the history of Queensland's favourite drink, Bundaberg Rum. Cairns was the first stop for the new Distillatorium after it was officially launched by Premier Anna Bligh in Bundaberg.

The Wiggles are back at the Cairns Convention Centre to celebrate their 20th birthday.

The Right Ingredients

Perry Stevens, Executive Chef at the Cairns Convention Centre recently judged the "Seafood Module" of the apprentice training program at Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE.

For the past five years Perry has participated in this student mentoring program, offering his extensive experience and expertise to the next generation of culinary leaders.
